Daniel Taub, the Israel Ambassador to Britain, visited the city of Bradford after the constituency declared the area as Israel free zone during a speech. It made the community to invite the Ambassador to hold meetings with faith leaders, councilors, and other groups to discuss the matter.
Mr. Galloway said that by terming the area as Israel free zone, he meant that they would not accept goods or services from Israel and also no one would be allowed to seek education in the constituency.
Talking to the Telegraph and Argus, Daniel Taub said that the real voice of Bradford is not what Galloway had said and it’s important for people of all faiths and backgrounds to live and work together. Police are investigation Galloway’s remarks where he had also said that they don’t want they don’t want tourists from Israel terming the state of Israel as savage, barbarous and illegal state. Daniel Taub said that the real conflict is between past and future and not between left and right or between Sunni and Shia. He added that the people should not be the ones drawing the region back into the past but should join together and make the people in the area live better.
Galloway has been known as an anti- Israel bigotry especially when he left a debate after finding out that his opponent was Israel and said that he doesn’t debate with Israelis.
He also had claimed that Israel had given Al-Qaeda chemical weapons and even claiming that Israel was creating unrest in Ukraine. Daniel Taub confirmed that his invitation was made by the people of Bradford because their voices were more prominent than Galloway. Daniel’s visit was under very tight security and that he was there for dialogue to pave the way for togetherness.
