Wes Edens is a famous American sports team owner, investor, and an accomplished businessman. Edens is one of the founders of Fortress Investment Group. Wes is also one of the owners of the National Basketball Association, and Milwaukee Bucks. Edens own FlyQuest. Mr. Edens is a graduate of Oregon State University where he pursued Business administration and Finance. Wes graduated from the university in 1984.In 1987, Wes secured a job at Lehman Brothers where he worked until 1993. At the Lehman Brothers, he served as the managing director and a partner. Afterward, he joined the BlackRock Asset Investors as a managing director, a position he held until 1997.At the company, he was the head of investors. Wes Edens started serving as the Chairman and one of the members of the Board of Directors at the company in 2009.
Edens also served as the chairman of Infrastructure Investors LLC and Fortress Transportation. Wes also led to the purchase of AIG’s American General Finance which is now referred to as Springleaf Financial Services. Fortress investment then became the majority shareholder of the company. As of 2015, the total value of Springleaf Holdings Inc. had increased to $3.5 billion. Wes serves as the chairman of the company.
